What study options are available at CONPA?
At College of Nursing Professionals Australia (CONPA), we offer online and blended learning programs to provide flexibility for our students. This allows you to balance study with work and personal commitments while gaining practical skills through in-person components where required.
How long does it take to complete the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability)?
The course can be completed within 12 months or shorter, depending on the participant's progress. Our flexible online and blended learning approach allows students to study at their own pace while meeting all training and assessment requirements.
Is work placement required for the Certificate III in Individual Support?
Yes, a minimum of 120 hours of work placement in an aged care, disability, or community care setting is required. CONPA arranges placements for students but also allows students to nominate their preferred facility, provided that the facility meets the training requirements.
Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in the Certificate III in Individual Support?
There are no formal prerequisites, but students must meet language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) requirements and provide a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check (WWCC). Additionally, vaccination requirements must be met as per industry standards. For those opting to work in disability support, an NDIS Worker’s Check is also required.
Can I complete the ‘Provide First Aid’ (HLTAID011) and ‘CPR’ (HLTAID009) courses separately?
Yes, these short courses can be completed separately or as part of your Certificate III in Individual Support training at CONPA. First Aid certification is valid for three years, while CPR must be renewed annually.
What support is available for online students?
CONPA provides dedicated student support, including access to trainers via online forums, virtual classrooms, and one-on-one mentoring sessions. We ensure that you receive the guidance you need throughout your studies.
How are assessments conducted?
Assessments are a combination of online quizzes, case studies, research tasks, and practical workplace assessments (for courses requiring work placement). Some practical assessments may be conducted via video submissions or in-person demonstrations.

Do you accept international students?
Currently, CONPA is only offering training for domestic applicants. However, in the future, we would love to offer our training to international students.
Do you have government-subsidised courses?
At the moment, we are only offering private-paying fees, but in the future, we aim to provide subsidised courses to allow more people to train with us.
What are the fees, and are there payment plans available?
